This bag is a tribute to when I first started chrocheting years ago. At that time I was still in highschool and it was COVID-19 times. I started teaching my self how to chrochet from watching youtube videos and quickly decided that my first project should involve the well-known “granny square”. My project was a totebag made from granny squares with the colours of the “turkish eye” inspired by a picture on Pinterest. I made too many “granny squares” and created a small clutch with the leftovers. Now I tried to recreate the clutch, but with new features such as a zipper, instead of buttons. Then I also made it a bit wider so you can bring more things with you.

The name “Grandma Bag” is a tribute to my time in highschool where I started chrocheting and quickly inspired all my classmates, who where by the way only girls, to chrochet. I remember how everyone wanted to give it a try and how I tried to teach them without even knowing what the name of the stitches where. They all called me a grandma, but I loved it and we also gathered a few times at my house, like real grandmas, with coffee/tea and yarn - great times!

I hope this bag will bring you the peace and gratitude of a grandma so you can bring these feelings into your adventures; whether it is your daily life or a journey somewhere else.
